I was born in Tehran, Iran, and graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1992. I spent three years as an emergency physician, and eight years in private practice. I authored a textbook ...on dermatology published in Farsi that is now in its 12th edition. I trained in internal medicine at Boston University, and in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Brown University. I am also board-certified in neurocritical care medicine. It is a great privilege to be able to practice medicine in one of the nation’s top healthcare organizations.
