I was born in Nigeria, where caring for my ailing grandmother as a teenager inspired me to go into medicine as a career. I studied in Nigeria, Chicago, and Far Rockaway, New York, before settling into... practice in northern New Jersey. Eventually, I came to California from the East Coast, where I practiced internal medicine with a focus on geriatric primary care. I was glad to relocate to sunny Southern California with my husband, my son, and our Cocker Spaniel.
