I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1979. I was raised in Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder as an undergraduate. I made my way east and attended Penn... State University for medical school. Then I traveled west and finished my training in anesthesiology at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. I stayed for four years on active duty as an attending anesthesiologist and was deployed to Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2009. Afterwards, I joined Kaiser Permanente. I'm grateful for the opportunity to do my part in bringing good health to our members.
