Michael Chi Young, DO

I grew up in San Jose and attended UC Santa Barbara. After working as a research scientist for a couple of years, I realized my passion was in medicine. I decided to stay close to home and attended an... osteopathic medical school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I went on to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York for my training in emergency medicine, and ultimately back to UC San Diego Medical Center for my toxicology fellowship. My passion to provide specialized care in both emergency medicine and toxicology brought me to Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center. In addition to my training in emergency medicine, I also specialize in toxicology, a medical discipline that provides expertise in and treatment of poisonings and overdoses. Combining my practice in emergency medicine and toxicology, I pledge to utilize the most up-to-date literature when I am caring for you, and I strive to make your stay in our emergency room the best experience possible.
