Dr. Mohnssen began his post high school education at the Air Force Academy where he competed on the intercollegiate Track and Cross - Country teams, flew gliders and in general tried to stay out of tr...ouble. Since he was informed that his eyes weren't good enough to fly jets, he finished the remainder of his undergraduate education at IndianaUniversity, Bloomington, Indiana. He then completed medical school and received his M.D. degree from IndianaUniversityMedicalCenter, Indianapolis, where he subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Residency as well. After serving for a year as a lecturer on the Internal Medicine faculty at IndianaUniversity, he completed his advanced Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Harbor - UCLAMedicalCenter in Torrance, California.
