Additionally, she obtained a master’s certificate for Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University.Her special areas of interest include heart rhythm treatment, electrophysiology, which includes treatments with medication, catheter ablation procedures and working with pacemakers and defibrillators. Many of these patients also have heart failure symptoms and her prior work experience has included the management of heart failure and other cardiac issues in the patients with heart rhythm problems.When not working with patients, Wendy enjoys spending as much time as she can with her four grown children. She also has a great love for the outdoors and enjoys exploring and taking her two dogs out for hikes.
